Walking A Path To Call Your Own

A Path To Call Your Own is about living a life in accordance with the truths at the center of your being.

That center - call it soul, call it Self, call it the divine within - is your own personal North Star, your guiding light, a wellspring of wisdom for living your one unique life.

There is an art to relating to this center, to listening deeply to its messages, and walking the path that it reveals to you.

The religious & spiritual traditions of this earth, along with all the schools of philosophy & psychology, are attempts to convey that art form. There is much to learn from all these sources, but I believe that the deepest understanding comes from within, from our own personal self-reflection, from what Terence McKenna called the “felt presence of direct experience.”

The greatest spiritual truth is always found not within the walls of a church or a temple, not at the feet of gurus, not in the pages of the wisest books, but within the space of our own human hearts, our own human bodies, our own human souls.

As the poet Walt Whitman wrote in “Song of Myself”:

“You shall no longer take things at second or third hand, nor look through the eyes of the dead, nor feed on the spectres in books,

You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me,

You shall listen to all sides and filter them from your self.”

To walk a path to call your own is to live in relationship with these inner truths, to continually turn within for their guidance, and to live a life that flows from that sacred core of your being.

The work I do as a life coach is all about facilitating this inner relationship between you & your own truth.

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about life coaching is that it’s fundamentally about a coach giving ADVICE to a client, that it’s ME telling YOU how to live your life, or how you SHOULD be living.

That’s the furthest thing from the truth when it comes to my approach to coaching.

I frequently say that the most powerful thing I do as a coach is simply to ask questions… questions designed to help you find the answers within yourself.

I hold up a mirror so you can see that gorgeous soul of yours more clearly.

I offer practices to connect with your Self more deeply.

But I never tell you want to think, or how you should feel, or what you ought to do with that one wild, precious life of yours.

I don’t have the answers.

YOU have the answers.

My job is simply to help you find those answers, to trust in the insights emerging from your own heart, and to walk a life path in alignment with those inner truths.

I’m opening up my calendar this summer for 1-on-1 coaching clients who specifically want to do this inner work of connecting to their inner spiritual truth.

Maybe you’ve felt disconnected from your spiritual life for too long. Maybe it’s been months or even years since you sat in meditation, or rolled out your yoga mat, or prayed, or journaled.. and you’re ready to restore that connection to the sacred, ready to feel rooted in your own soul again.

If you’re feeling the call towards this work, I invite you to a book a free Pathfinding Session here on the A Path To Call Your Own website. Click the link below to book your free session.
